Foreword by Dr Josée Gensollen, psychiatrist and collection la Fabrique Gensollen :
"...From this treasure hunt, the initiator of the project was able to act as prestidigitator in the exhibition and in this catalog, succeeding in ordering and classifying the works acquired in a formal or thematic way. Nadia Candet has made it possible to link the different orientations of the purchases. This initiative is to be applauded, as it reveals, through the acquisitions made and their presentation in this venue, her genuine commitment to artists...".

Cherries on the boat, contemporary art collectors
The idea took off immediately: within a few months, the "Cherries on the boat" were afloat. On board, twenty-one women, all committed to contemporary art.
Their goal: to share their common passion and their approach to collecting. With curiosity, enthusiasm, a taste for encounters and a keen eye as their compass, the ship was launched at the Fiac fair last October. This charming crew is on board for three years, a limited period that guarantees the involvement and commitment of the participants. Based in Paris, the collective aims to form a collection, with quarterly purchases entrusted to a rotating board of three to five members with carte blanche. At a rate of five to ten works a year, the resulting collection will be exhibited and documented in a catalog before the group disbands and the "spoils" are shared. In the meantime, the "Cherries" plan a program of visits to studios and private collections, followed by lunch or dinner in the company of an artist, critic or art historian. Our collectors have a taste for adventure and travel. Next stop: Turin, Madrid, Mexico City, Marseille, Miami...
