His 2024 series was inspired by the arid Ardèche landscape, which fascinated the artist with its balsa lava flow. From this land of moving fragility, vases were created using a more volcanic rock, combined with warm, amber-tinted, sometimes chromed glass. The gradation of colors, as well as the silvering and gilding, are derived from the complex Venetian technique of double sfumato, which gives the vase an indisputable preciousness.
