The church inspired by Saint-Germain l'Auxerois. The title "Au temps du malheur" (In Times of Misfortune) refers to a verse about destiny from the Book of Ecclesiastes 9:12 — Man does not know his hour, like fish caught in a fatal net, and birds caught in a trap; like them, the sons of men are ensnared in times of misfortune, when it suddenly befalls them.
