Zarah Landes

Zarah Landes' artistic practice is characterized by a unique fusion of different media, including photography, painting and textile design. Her work often explores the interplay between light and shadow, drawing inspiration from theatrical scenography and the notion of exhibition in photography. Her innovative technique is characterized by the creation of prints of objects on an ink-saturated canvas, through a process of tensioning the medium on the chosen piece of furniture (a chair, a tripod...).

Her color palette tends to favor black and white, in line with monochrome photography, or bright colors whose nuances she likes to explore. Her red work, entitled Chair in connection with the object that left its imprint on it, embodies an almost organic dimension in its bloody hue.

Zarah Landes' work frequently incorporates motifs, symbols and textures, reflecting her interest in the tactile qualities of materials and the memory of forms. the tactile qualities of materials and the memory of forms. Her artistic process involves a careful balance between the the concrete and the abstractoften starting with real objects or scenes and transforming them into more conceptual pieces that invite viewers to explore the boundaries between physical presence and artistic representation.
