Sebastien DELBES

Graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2024, Sebastien Delbes develops a style of painting that is at the intersection of abstraction and narration. He composes dreamlike landscapes populated by polymorphous figures, between fantastical vegetation and enigmatic presences, illuminated by artificial lights as if emerging from a parallel world.

His works, created using gouache and pigments, unfold a spectral world traversed by violet hues and dense mists. Each image seems suspended between two timelines, both intimate and fictional, like a  diffracted memory. Through these mental forests, the artist questions the metamorphosis of identity and our relationship to sensitive environments.
