Sebastien DELBES

Sebastien Delbes graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2024, and is developing a style of painting on the borderline between abstraction and narrative. He composes dreamlike landscapes populated by polymorphous figures, between phantasmal vegetation and enigmatic presences, illuminated by artificial lights as if emerging from a parallel world.

His gouache and pigment works unfold a spectral world of violet hues and dense mists. Each image seems suspended between two times, both intimate and fictional, like a diffracted diffracted memory. Through these mental forests, the artist questions the metamorphosis of identity and our relationship to sensitive environments.
