RUSSO BETAK
The RUSSO BETAK duo, formed by Stefannia Russo (Brazil) and Søren Betak (Denmark), explore the shifting boundaries between design, robotics and ecology. From their studio in Copenhagen, they design objects using a3D printing robot they developed themselves, and manufacture them from biomaterials derived from shellfish waste.
Each creation thus emerges from the encounter between the robotic precision of3D printing and the organic unpredictability of biomaterials. Biomaterials, like finely treated shells, enhance the durability of the pieces, while giving them a unique aesthetic.
For the 2025 edition, Private Choice presents the Pelicanavailable in two versions: Scallop or Oyster. A continuous, hand-carved line envelops a luminous sphere, creating a delicate object that diffuses a soft, soothing light. Reflecting enhanced craftsmanship, their design outlines a future where technological innovation and environmental awareness become one.
