Nøne Futbol Club

Nøne Futbol Club is an artist duo founded in Paris in 2009. These former graphic design students and graduates of the Beaux-Arts de Paris combine the object, the word and reflection on the value of art to radically and humorously denounce the socio-political stakes of this field.

Their sculptures, installations and videos work on the principle of hacking. Détournement, robbery, slogan, are brandished by them with a percussive second degree. Their works, described as activist, form a mischievous, committed art rooted in current events.

At the Photo edition of Private Choice in November 2024, La Tonsure (after Marcel Duchamp) testifies to a body of work humor and wit. Man Ray's photograph of the master of conceptual art, exhibited at the Centre Pompidou, serves as a starting point. Nøne Futbol Club adorns the artist's bald head with a neon star: this intervention crowns Duchamp's genius by making a shooting star appear on his head, a symbol of dazzling inspiration. An idea as brilliant as it is mocking.
