Nøne Futbol Club

Nøne Futbol Club is an artist duo founded in 2009 in Paris. These former graphic design students and graduates of the Beaux-Arts de Paris combine object, word and reflection on the value of art to denounce radically and with humor, the socio-political issues of this field.

Their sculptures, installations and videos operate on the principle of hacking. Diversion, robbery, slogan, are brandished by them with a striking double meaning. Their works, described as activist, form a mischievous, committed art, rooted in current events.

During the Photo edition of Private Choice in November 2024, La Tonsure (after Marcel Duchamp) testifies to a work full of humor and wit. The photograph of the master of conceptual art by Man Ray, exhibited at the Centre Pompidou, serves as a starting point. Nøne Futbol Club adorns the artist's bald skull with a neon star: this intervention crowns Duchamp's genius by making a shooting star appear on his head, a symbol of dazzling inspiration. An idea as brilliant as it is mocking.
