Mehdi BOUALLI
Born in Mulhouse in 1998, Mehdi Boualli graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2025, where he studied with François Boisrond and then Stéphane Calais. His pictorial practice is built around projected and sprayed mediums – inks, aerosols, acrylics, airbrush – which allow him to play on the tension between control and letting go. The artist is devoted to the art of boxing, a discipline that is reflected in the explosion of colors on his canvases. Sometimes fractionated like a punch.
His works reflect a world in disequilibrium, torn by intimate, social, and political conflicts. In a raw and sensitive visual language, he attempts to depict what he calls an « inter-chaos »: a space where violence, fragility, and the desire of appeasement coexist. Each image is conceived as a form of breathing, a gesture suspended between instinct and construction.
