Marius GHITA

Born in 1999, Marius Ghita lives and works in Cluj, Romania. A graduate of theUniversity of Art and Design in Cluj, he is currently pursuing a doctorate in visual arts. His oil paintings revolve around personal memories transposed into mental landscapes, nourished by literature, cinema and a certain melancholy.

His intimate-scale compositions invite the viewer to fill in the gaps: suspended scenes, blurred silhouettes, fragments of narrative left in suspense. Between presence and erasureeach canvas becomes a tipping point between the real and the imaginary. In this way, Marius Ghita constructs open images in sober colors, where mystery acts as a narrative engine.
