Lucile PIKETTY

Lucile Piketty was born to artist parents who introduced her to painting and art in general at a very young age.

Lucile often enjoys working in a serial manner, ensuring that all the images created in this way respond to each other. Painting, pastel, engraving - the artist often works with these mediums simultaneously when starting a new series. Before starting an image, she always makes a sketch, drawing inspiration from her surroundings, daily life, art history, photographs she takes, objects she collects, etc. Then, she begins to paint, keeping her preparatory sketches and reference photographs close at hand.

More than an artist, Lucile is a storyteller, creating exceptional atmospheres where light plays a central role.

In The Players, Lucile Piketty depicts a game scene, Risk, which many of us have undoubtedly played, thus awakening your memory and souvenirs. The framing is tight and focuses on the game board, with hands moving their pieces on this geopolitical chessboard. So, which player will win the game?
