Louis Granet

Louis Granet has decided to leave the world of comics behind and devote himself fully to acrylic and oil on canvas. A desire to emancipate himself in terms of format, register and subjects, even if his identity remains attached to the pop influences and flat colors of comic books.

Immerse yourself in Louis Granet's world as if you were diving into the turquoise water of a swimming pool: this was the artist's wish for his solo exhibition at thePessac artothèque, entitled Merveilles ZONE.

In the continuity of the series exhibited in 2024, and with the same nostalgia for a Provencal summer spent by the sea, bucolic shots follow one another. In the background, a sky or an ocean, and in the foreground, plants bordering on abstraction. In a romantic gesture, his oversized tulips break free from the frame and contrast with the series' blue chromatics. The subject is expanding, refusing shyness and shouting out its name.
