Lionel Jadot
Lionel Jadot is a Belgian artist, designer, interior architect and filmmaker. His work is characterized by its variety and playfulness. A pioneer in the reuse of materials, he embodies the spirit of "upcycling" and pushes its limits. His latest furniture pieces are made from old VHS cassettes, gigantic stones and unused fabrics.
Recently, the designer and the entire Atelier Lionel Jadot team won acclaim for their renovation of the former headquarters of the Belgian Royal, now known as the "Mix", in Brussels. In particular, they designed its hotel and food market, in collaboration with numerous Belgian designers and craftsmen.
Lionel Jadot is also the founder of Zaventem Atelier. Located in a former factory, this space brings together artists' studios, enabling them to work in a spirit of emulation and collaboration. Its members regularly take part in group exhibitions and joint design shows.
The chairs Inventories are made of solid beech wood. Their name alludes to the history of this piece of furniture, commissioned in 1987 by French playwright Philippe Myniana. Myniana asked Jadot to create a unique chair for a production of his play "Inventaires", in which three actresses perform on a minimalist stage. minimalist scenography.
