Lionel JADOT

Lionel Jadot is a Belgian artist, designer, interior architect, and filmmaker. His work is characterized by its variety and playfulness. A pioneer in the field of material reuse, he embodies the spirit of "upcycling" and pushes its boundaries. His latest furniture pieces are made from old VHS tapes, gigantic stones, or unused fabrics.

Recently, the designer and the entire team at Atelier Lionel Jadot were recognized for the renovation of the former headquarters of the Royale Belge, now called "Mix," in Brussels. They designed its hotel and food market, in collaboration with numerous Belgian designers and artisans.

Lionel Jadot is also the founder of Zaventem Atelier. Located in a former factory, this space brings together artists' studios and allows them to work in a spirit of emulation and collaboration. Its members regularly participate in collective exhibitions and joint design fairs.

The Inventories chairs are made of solid beech wood. Their name alludes to the history of this piece of furniture, commissioned in 1987 by French playwright Philippe Myniana. The latter asked Jadot to create a unique chair for a production of his play entitled "Inventories" in which three actresses evolve on a stage with minimalist scenography.
