Laurent PERNOT

Laurent Pernot creates a polymorphous body of work in a variety of media: video, installation, photography, light and sculpture. His research is imbued with history, philosophy and poetry, and the interactions between man and nature are among his major themes.

His visual language is rooted in memory, images and words, which he explores through the experience of the flow of time, impermanence, the visible and the disappearing.

For the 2025 edition, Private Choice highlights its series of Still Lifes. Various everyday objects seem to have remained frozen in a distant era: in contact with them, one wonders if an ice age has not plunged them into an eternal sleep.
