A ready-to-wear designer turned ceramist, Katia Soussan has always had an intuitive relationship with materials. Today, clay is her preferred medium. In her creations, she seeks to slow down, let go and let herself be guided by gesture and immediate sensations.

Her pieces, always unique, embrace the roughness, imperfections and traces left by the work of her hands. Each ceramic expresses a buried emotion, inscribed in the unconscious, revealed by delicate or rough textures. Through her creations, Katia Soussan celebrates the fragile beauty of imperfect forms.

For the 2025 edition, Private Choice presents never-before-seen creations from the Racines series. Each piece, sculpted in organic interlacing, evokes natural networks, underground links or plant architecture. These ceramics appear to be alive, shaped by a spontaneous gesture that gives free rein to asperities.
