Iseult PERRAULT

Iseult Perrault is a French artist with a BA from the École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL) in Switzerland (2017) and an MA from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London (2022).

As a painter, she creates installations in which she explores the relationship relationship between the fantastic and the realquestioning the authenticity of landscapes and the temporalities they evoke.

His work examines the balance between the subjective experience of nature and its cultural representation, highlighting the tension between the tangible world and the imaginary. The concept of landscape is at the heart of his approach, as it is both universal and deeply personal.

Faced with climate emergencyIseult Perrault reflects on the evolution of our conception of nature and the difficulty human societies have in preserving the landscapes that surround us. For her, an environment is not simply a backdrop, it is above all an exercise in thought, sensation and perception.

In this space, the human being simultaneously plays the roles actor and spectator, evolving in a world increasingly defined by post-natural challenges.
