Hélène NEPOMIATZI
Coming from the world of crafts, fashion, and leather goods, Hélène Nepomiatzi innovates in the creation of design objects. Born in Paris in 1965, she studied at Studio Berçot and launched her career in the luxury world, for which she designs accessories. Passionate about working with leather, the artist has constantly diverted its use during her years of experience with Hermès, Céline, and Karl Lagerfeld.
Constantly seeking surprise, her approach invites playfulness as much as it values know-how. Accompanied by her eponymous workshop, the artist reuses the vocabulary of leather goods through her design pieces made of colored calf leather from short supply chains.
Letting go is, for Hélène Nepomiatzi, the only way to give birth to authentic and spontaneous creations, freeing herself from codes to revisit forms and functionalities.
The Tableau à Poches is a unique piece that she offers in three colored versions. The pieces, made near Tours, are made of cotton and full-grain calf leather from major French tanneries.
