Hélène NEPOMIATZI

Coming from the world of crafts, fashion, and leather goods, Hélène Nepomiatzi innovates in the creation of design objects. Born in Paris in 1965, she studied at Studio Berçot and launched her career in the luxury world, for which she designs accessories. Passionate about working with leather, the artist has constantly diverted its use during her years of experience with Hermès, Céline, and Karl Lagerfeld.

In her constant search for surprise, her approach embraces playfulness while also celebrating craftsmanship. Accompanied by her eponymous workshop, the artist repurposes the vocabulary of leather goods through her design pieces made of colored calfskin from short supply chains.

For Hélène Nepomiatzi, letting go is the only way to createauthentic and spontaneous designs, freeing herself from conventions to reimagine forms and functions.

Inspired by Jean de La Fontaine’s fable “Perrette and the Milk Jug,” La Perrette reimagines the figure of the milkmaid with humor and refinement. Entirely upholstered in Bleu Lazuli & Moon bull calf leather, this sculptural stool stands out for its tone-on-tone stitching and a double-sided cream leather fringe, a delicate evocation of spilling milk. Featuring a leather handle, the piece is easy to move and serves multiple purposes: as a seat, storage, or side table. Its interior, lined with maple wood, reveals the same attention to detail in its finishes. Made in France, La Perrette is available in the 2026 edition, limited to a single color per edition.
