Hannes Peer
Hannes Peer heads his own architecture and design studio based in Milan. The studio's leitmotiv is the search for eclecticism and high design quality, at various scales, through the meticulous study of architecture, historical context and new technologies on the one hand, and craftsmanship and industrial production on the other. The vocabulary developed offers different layers of reading, is eclectic and combines poetic vision and rigor. The agency's projects are identifiable by their strong iconographic identity, nurtured by constant research into colors and materials and the interpenetration of different contemporary languages.
MarminiI II, a stool designed in collaboration with studio La Chance and presented at Private Choice , is, despite its minimalist architectural appearance, a very comfortable upholstered stool. The three volumes of which it is composed don't seem to be able to hold together: the two massive elements in Fior di Pesco marble seem to want to detach themselves from the softly upholstered central part. The three triangular shapes are held together by an intricate internal system to create this compact, theatrical final form. Here, too, we find the principle of play and tension between form and function.
