Franck Noto aka Zest

Franck Noto aka Zest is an artist from Montpellier. He began self-taught graffiti at the age of 15. Later, he signed frescoes from New York to Nouméa, via the major European capitals. Color is his essence, and gesture his driving force.

His painting is resolutely abstract, a world of suggestion: the letters of his pseudonym, a few cubic shapes, but above all feminine contours.

With his many tools (marker, roller, spray can, brush and paintbrush), Franck Noto constructs an elusive flow of colors and lines, conjugating colors as if they were words, and gracefully disseminating a structured, nuanced and readily sparkling visual language.
He reveals a remarkable search for color associations, working with gradations and chiaroscuro.
