Franck NOTO

Franck Noto aka Zest is an artist from Montpellier. He started graffiti around the age of 15 as a self-taught artist. Later, he was led to sign frescoes from New York to Nouméa, passing through the main European capitals. Color is his essence, and gesture, his engine.

He practices a resolutely abstract painting, whose universe is none other than that of suggestion: the letters of his pseudonym, some cubic forms, but above all feminine contours.

With his many tools (marker, roller, spray can, brush and paintbrush), Franck Noto builds an elusive flow of colors and lines, combines colors as if they were words, and gracefully diffuses a structured, nuanced and willingly sparkling visual language.
He reveals a remarkable search for color associations by working gradients or chiaroscuro.
