Exercise

Students at the Nantes School of Architecture, Edouard Danais and Gwendal Le Bihan founded studio Exercice in 2018. They collaborate with French glassmaker GlassVariations around the "Monolog" collection.

Often scorned in interior design, glass reveals all its delicacy in this seat, making the most of the material's properties and the skills of glass artisans (in this case, the UV glass bonding technique, which eliminates all traces of joints, but requires rigorous positioning to adhere). A masterpiece of balance and light, it also ensures comfortable seating.
Adopting an eco-responsible approach, Exercice works on reuse, using glass off-cuts from the GlassVariations workshops, and this material-saving constraint came as a stimulus to the design.
