Enrique Asensi
Enrique Asensi is a sculptor.
Born in Valencia in 1950, he now lives and works in Cologne and Barcelona.
For his monumental works, Asensi mainly uses granite and corten steel, while for his jewelry he uses diabase - similar to volcanic basalt - and brushed brass.
In 2020, Enrique Asensi created his first miniature sculptures. Accustomed to monumental formats, the change of scale is drastic, yet the artist manages to retain all the strength and complexity of the confrontations he likes to organize between stone and metal.
