Binōme

Ingrid Michel and Frédéric Pain

Ingrid Michel and Frédéric Pain are two designers, both graduates of the Parisian Boulle school of applied arts. They specialize in wood sculpture, first working for the film industry, then in 2008, they created the Binôme design studio in 2013. The studio designs and manufactures objects combining resin and wood, inspired by natural forms.

In the contemporary creative landscape, where the boundary between Art & Design is becoming increasingly porous, Binōme has for some years been distilling a sensitive, four-handed style, giving shape to furniture pieces that are singular yet always functional, poetic yet with a strong identity. Designer, sculptor, craftsman...

Between generous, organically-inspired curves and taut lines, the Binōme duo love above all to shape volumes, work with materials and experiment with new manufacturing processes to create exceptional, one-of-a-kind pieces, made entirely by hand in their workshop nestled in the heart of the Burgundy countryside.

Private Choice 2024 will feature the following pieces:

  • Arapodes" stools
  • Akene" concrete bench
  • Baby Akene" bench
