Barthélémy TOGUO

Born in 1967 in Cameroon, he now lives and works between Paris and Bandjoun in Cameroon. His work has developed since the early 1990s through multiple mediums: photography and video initially, then performance, watercolor, and sculpture. With humor, provocation, and poetry, Toguo addresses themes that are dear to him, such as politics and migratory flows, whether human or commercial.

The Carpe Diem ring, released by the MiniMasterpiece gallery in 2013, is the very first piece of jewelry by Barthélémy Toguo. It is inspired by his famous carved wooden stamps and echoes his research on questions of identity and control.
