Audrey SCHADITZKI

Born in Strasbourg in 1981, Audrey Schaditzki lives and works in Montreuil, where she founded her ceramics studio in 2019.

His practice draws on a fascination fascination with geological timeerosion and telluric forces. She works with porcelain as she would interrogate silence, to its very limits: tearing it apart, evidencing it, confronting it with raw, chamotte-tempered, oxidized stoneware. Her series Dépaysement embodies this between fragile and rough materialsbetween spontaneous ceramics and recomposed mineral landscapes.

In these open sculptures, the artist claims a form of letting go, an instinctive gesture: "It's not me who works the earth, it's the earth that works me."
