Audrey SCHADITZKI

Born in Strasbourg in 1981, Audrey Schaditzki lives and works in Montreuil, where she founded her ceramics studio in 2019.

Her practice draws on a fascination with geological time, slow erosion, and telluric forces. She works with porcelain as one might probe silence, pushing it to its limits: she tears it, hollows it out, and sets it against raw, chamotte-mixed, and oxidized stoneware. Her series*Dépaysement*embodies this tension between fragile and rough materials, between spontaneous ceramics and reconstructed mineral landscapes.

In these open sculptures, the artist embraces a form of letting go, an instinctive gesture: “It is not I who work the clay; it is the clay that works me.”
