Audrey SCHADITZKI
Born in Strasbourg in 1981, Audrey Schaditzki lives and works in Montreuil, where she founded her ceramics studio in 2019.
Her practice draws on a fascination with geological time, slow erosion, and telluric forces. She works with porcelain as one questions a silence, pushing it to its limits: tearing it, hollowing it out, confronting it with raw, grogged, oxidized stoneware. Her series Dépaysement embodies this tension between fragile and rough materials, between spontaneous ceramics and recomposed mineral landscapes.
In these open sculptures, the artist claims a form of letting go, an instinctive gesture: « I don't work the clay, the clay works through me. »
