Their visual and tactile equivalence creates a sense of confusion: volumes that appear monumental but are surprisingly welcoming to the touch. The name SCHIRCH — a term from the Viennese dialect popularized by Franz West (meaning "not beautiful," "rough") — embraces this discrepancy and turns it into an aesthetic principle: repurposing ordinary materials to create bold, direct, and sensitive forms.
