Eric Hibelot
His preferred material, his plastic codes and his chromatic range are effective, simple and recurrent: Eric Hibelot works in white porcelain, sometimes even in double-D, postcard or painting style, favoring round shapes that fill the hand; he assembles his pieces in sheets, however small, looking for cantilevers, imbalances, the "round asses" of theCulbuto spirit; he loves flat tints of primary colors, blue in particular, contrasting matte and glossy surface effects and stripes taken from the textile world.
His work refers to mass-market containers; by giving each one a uniqueness, the designer repairs the flaws of consumer society.
